About

Dr. Anna Parnes

My Approach: I view therapy as a collaborative process and work together with you to determine our treatment goals and identify approaches that may be useful for you. Our working relationship is a key element of the therapy process, and I integrate a range of evidence based treatments, such as DBT, ACT, and CBT, depending on your needs. I am committed to promoting resilience and development of healthy and positive coping, and I take a strengths based approach to therapy while supporting you in managing and addressing challenges that brought you to therapy. Services provided: I provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, young adults and adults. I also provide parent coaching for parents seeking support and strategies for positive parenting. I enjoy and have experience providing therapy for people seeking support with a range of topics including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, ADHD, adjustment difficulties, academic challenges, learning differences, chronic medical conditions, college related stressors, coping skill development, life transitions and stressors, identity related concerns, and autism spectrum disorder. I am currently providing therapy via telehealth. Background and Education: I am a licensed clinical psychologist (CA PSY# 22827). I have more than 15 years of experience providing therapy services, and I have worked in clinic, school, hospital and community based settings. I completed my doctoral degree in clinical psychology at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois after completing my undergraduate degree at Stanford University. I have training in multiple evidence based treatments and value incorporating these effective tools into my work as a therapist.
